Outreach Ministry

Here at FTC we want to provide programs and ministries where people can grow to know each other better and grow to know the Lord.  These ministries also provide opportunities for people to serve and use their abilities, gifts, and talents for God's glory and to benefit others.  We also provide opportunities for people to serve the community.  Here is a list of outreach opportunities that we provide beyond our ministry programs.

Haiti Benefit Garage Sale

CFA Outreach

Three or four times every year our church will go to the Center for Food Action facility in Mahwah. While we are there, our group will clean and restock shelves, and pack bags. In 2018, we will serve the CFA on 1/6, 3/3, and 5/5.

Haiti Missions Trip

Each year since 2011 we have taken a team of adults to Haiti to serve with Caleb Lucien and Hosean International Ministries. Majority of the time and effort there has been spent on construction projects. However, during each trip our team has spent time getting to know the people of that community and we've also had the opportunity to meet our sponsor children and their families. In 2019 a team from our church plans to serve with our ministry partner.

Youth Missions Trip

This past summer, 15 students and 5 adults served in Washington, DC with City Service Mission. During our time away we primarily served with the homeless people of the community. We made food in a food kitchen, harvested crops on a farm, served food at a local church, and handed out food to homeless people on the street. While serving various organizations our group really sensed the needs of that community.

Fall Harvest Party

Every fall, in October, we have a Harvest Party. This is a friendly alternative to Halloween. Children can come to our Fellowship Hall dressed in a costume and enjoy games, face painting, camp fire, roasting marshmallows, hayrides, snacks, and prizes. Adults will enjoy a chilli contest, pie eating contest, and lots of fun with the kids. There is something for everyone!

Garden Outreach

From May through November we will grow fruits and vegetables in our garden. As crops are harvested, we will use the crops for 2 primary purposes. One, we will give to Center for Food Action and Star of Hope - 2 local organizations that help those in need. Two, we will make baskets of produce for people in our congregation to hand to people they know who are in need

Easter Egg Hunt

On the Saturday before Easter we have an Easter Egg Hunt on the church field. Game stations are place throughout the field, refreshments are provided, we share the resurrection story, and have a time for the kids to hunt for eggs.
